I recently tried out Launchy as suggested by Scott Hanselman. I like it a lot, it doesn't get in your way: gets in and out quickly. It's indexing could take up your cpu for time to time if you tell it to index too much of your stuff, so it's not advisable to let it do that, just index the bare essential directories and you should be fine. It's still a bit buggy sometimes, but still lets me me very productive nontheless.
Update: the version 2.0 just came out and it's even better. It fixed some rendering bugs and is even more responsive than before. Uping to 10 from a 9.
